Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 pcs large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups whipped cream frosting
  • Optional toppings: Colored sprinkles fresh berries, or edible glitter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two cake pans with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cakes to cool completely on a cooling rack before frosting.
  • Frost the cake using whipped cream frosting and decorate with your favorite toppings.
