Christmas Pudding Recipe
This traditional Christmas Pudding is moist, packed with dried fruits, and perfectly spiced. It’s steamed to perfection, creating a dense, rich dessert ideal for holiday celebrations. Pair it with cream or custard for a festive finish to your Christmas meal.
Ingredients
- 200 Gm Raisins
- 150 Gm Currants
- 100 Gm Mixed Peel
- 150 Gm Brown Sugar
- 100 Gm Butter Softened
- 100 Gm Breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbsp Flour
- 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp Nutmeg
- 2 Large Eggs
- 100 Ml Brandy
- 50 Ml Milk
- Dash Of Salt
Optional Toppings
- Drizzle Of Brandy Butter
- Dollop Of Whipped Cream
Instructions
- Prepare The Dry Ingredients: Mix raisins, currants, and mixed peel in a large bowl.
- Combine Dry And Wet Ingredients: Add breadcrumbs, sugar, butter, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Mix Liquids: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in brandy and milk. Pour into the dry mixture.
- Transfer To Pudding Basin: Grease a pudding basin and spoon in the mixture. Cover tightly with foil.
- Steam The Pudding: Place the basin in a large pot filled halfway with boiling water. Cover and steam for 3 hours.
- Cool And Rest: Let the pudding cool, then rest for at least an hour or overnight for better flavor.
- Serve: Reheat if needed and serve warm with optional toppings.
