Ingredients
  

  • 6 Slices Bread preferably day-old
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • ½ Cup Raisins optional
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ Cup Butter melted
  • Pinch of Salt

  • Whipped Cream
  • Caramel Sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Tear the bread into small pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Pour the custard mixture over the bread, making sure all the bread is soaked.
  • Sprinkle raisins on top, if using.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife comes out clean.
