- 1 loaf of French bread sliced in half lengthwise
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened
- 3 tbsp garlic minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 200 gm mozzarella cheese shredded
- 50 gm Parmesan cheese grated
- 1 pinch salt
- Optional: 1 dash of chili flakes for extra heat
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt until combined.
Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the French bread.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan generously on top of the bread.
Place the bread halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice into smaller pieces and serve warm.
- For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and high-quality mozzarella.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, broil the bread for an additional 2 minutes after baking.
- This bread is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be reheated in a toaster oven.
- You can customize the cheese blend by adding provolone or cheddar for a unique twist.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
